The DML is one of the three academic departments in College of Management at MingDao University. Established in 2006, the department is one of the major attractions of the College of Management.  This is due to the reason that marketing is one of the most important function in an organization.  Together with logistics, they ensure that the right products and services is available at the right time and the right place, thus maximizing value and customer satisfaction.

The DML is supported by faculties with a well-balanced academic and industrial experience.
Courses in the DML program are not only insightful but also practical.  Together with it E-Commerce Center, the program provides an innovative and creative environment in line with the vision and mission of the College of Management. 

The DML offers a wide range of courses that equip student to be a marketing and/or logistics specialist for a variety of careers. Some of the areas that graduate of DML at MingDao University work include retail and department store manager, warehouse manager, customer services manager, and marketing research specialist.  Their presence is felt in almost all industries and sectors ranging from Agriculture, Education, Hotel and Lodging, Manufacturing, Services, Telecommunication and Utilities.  It is one of the most sought after profession worldwide.  A survey by Heidrick & Struggles found that almost 20% of FTSE 100 CEOs are former marketers.  In Taiwan, the marketing and logistics sector tops the list of total job openings in 1111 Job Bank.

The structure of the DML has recently been revised to include e-commerce that has taken the market by storm.  Students of DML learn not only the core marketing and logistic knowledge but also combine these with the application of e-commerce.
